Hi Reader, I've been wearing a "mom uniform" for years now. Before that I mostly existed in a "dance teacher uniform". I was into "athleisure" long before it was cool. (If by athleisure you mean colorful comfy pants and a t-shirt). When I started playing with polymer clay, I was coming out of the fog of parenting toddlers and wishing my clothes felt a little more put together... a little more personal to me - without sacrificing comfort. Then I made my first earrings. graphic tee + jeans = still feeling basic but graphic tee + jeans + funky earrings = personal style All it took was for one color from the earrings to coordinate and I was good to go. That's why I'm so excited about these new styles that will be available in my shop tonight. They are SO EASY to wear with anything. They go with denim or a little black dress or a breezy sundress or a basic tee and leggings. Feeling styled really can be as simple as wearing a pair of cute earrings. And honestly, that's all I have the energy for most days anyway. Were you obsessed with eye spy books and magic eye posters as a kid? These kaleidoscope earrings with hidden pictures are calling your name: Want a pop of color that's funky AND elegant? You want these (added bonus - they are translucent so the light shines through them): Feeling romantic? In your Bridgerton era? Fan of florals? These are for you: All three will be available at 7pm CST TONIGHT!

this email may contain affiliate links Hi Reader, This year both of my kids are in the same school for the first time. My days have more space than they've had in a long time, but I'm still finding my footing, still working out what my days and routines look like, and reflecting on the big question: what now? It's a challenging question to answer, and I'm doing my best not to rush into a hundred new projects before truly reflecting on whether or not I really want to be doing those projects......
Happy Friday Reader, Sending out a quick message before I run to school pick up to let you know about 2 awesome events happening tomorrow: RE|Dance is having their Movement & Mimosas on Saturday from 12:30-2:30pm at the Rooted Space. This event is SO FUN. There's drinks, there's snacks, and Lucy teaches an upbeat ALL LEVELS jazzy dance class. Last time they did this I brought a friend who had a BLAST... and then I found out she had never taken a dance class before. Seriously. It's so much...
Hi Reader, Today in the US, we are observing Labor Day and I thought this would be the perfect time to share the 2nd episode of craft.dance.read.repeat which is all about mending. Making clothes last and being a conscious consumer of textiles has become a core value of mine over the last decade. And the more I learn, the more I want to practice mending, making my own clothes, thrifting, and shopping ethically and sustainably. The fashion industry employs over 60 million factory workers...
